Prepare for Bible Study

Before Bible study, spend intentional time reading through this month’s scriptures. Take your own notes and pay attention to what the Holy Spirit is revealing to you. As you study, keep our focus on intercession and standing in the gap in mind. Bring your reflections, questions, and anything that stood out to you with you as we come together for discussion.

Questions to reflect on before we meet

  1. What patterns do you notice throughout these passages?
  2. What do these Scriptures reveal about praying for others?
  3. What challenged you, encouraged you, or stood out to you most as you read?

Prayer request optional

Let us pray for you

“…pray one for another…” James 5:16 (KJV)

You don’t have to carry it alone. Whatever is on your heart — big or small — we would be honored to stand in the gap for you in prayer. Share your request in the prayer section of the reflection form, and choose to keep it private with our leadership team if you’d like.

Previous Study

The Fruit of the Spirit: Connection Before Production

Galatians 5:22–23

Fruit is not something we manufacture — it is produced by staying connected to Jesus, the True Vine. This study explores how abiding in Christ leads to transformation, spiritual fruit, good works, and God’s glory.

Study this topic

Scriptures studied

  • John 15
  • Galatians 5:22–23
  • Matthew 7:3–5, 16–20
  • Titus 2:7, 14; 3:8, 14
  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2:21
  • Luke 10:38–42

Questions to reflect on

  1. What is the current state of my connection to the Vine? Am I abiding — or am I striving?
  2. Which of the nine Fruits of the Spirit am I most lacking right now? What might that be saying about my connection to the Source?
  3. Who is “eating” from my life right now — my children, spouse, coworkers, friends? What fruit are they receiving from me?
  4. Is there a season of pruning I am currently in that I have been resisting? What might God be trying to remove or reshape in me?
  5. What good works is God calling me to that would be a natural overflow of the fruit He is growing in me?
  6. Write a prayer of surrender: Give God permission to prune whatever needs pruning and to produce whatever fruit He wants — starting with you.
